Kevin J. Shea is Senior Vice President at Berkley Re America with over 35 years of industry experience in claim management of domestic and international claim facilities. A multi-line claims specialist with concentration in casualty and professional liability claims including medical malpractice, he has a demonstrated record of success in technical, supervision and senior management positions with various insurance and reinsurance organizations. He is a proponent of an efficient proactive approach to claims handling in order to provide value and support to the underwriting process for the internal and external customer as well as sound claims management.
Prior to joining Berkley Re America in 1998, Mr. Shea was Vice President, Director of Claims for TIG Re where he was responsible for all domestic and international treaty and facultative claims. His primary insurance claims experience includes various technical and management positions with Chubb, Royal Globe and NJ Medical Underwriters (a.k.a. MIIEX). He is a past Chair of the Reinsurance Association of America (RAA) Claims Committee and a past Director of the Intermediaries and Reinsurance Underwriters Association (IRU) and Claims Committee Chair for the IRU. Mr. Shea is presently Treasurer and board director for The International Association of Claim Professionals.
Peter Fennell holds the position of Managing Director and chairs the Claim Practice Group at Aon Benfield based in Chicago.
Peter has over 30 years of claims management experience in the insurance and reinsurance industries. His expertise in claim handling is very broad and includes primary lines, excess/surplus lines and reinsurance. Prior to joining Aon Re in 1993, he held various claim management positions at North Star Re and SCOR Re. His primary insurance claim experience was at Liberty Mutual and Home Insurance Company where he handled both personal and commercial casualty lines of business. During his career he has had numerous assignments relating to claim coverage issues, reserving practices, claim handling methods, claim systems, organization, and staffing.
Peter plays an active role in many industry organizations such as the Society of CPCU, RAA as well as the IACP. He has been a speaker at RAA and American Conference Institute seminars in the area of ECO/XPL claims and reinsurance claims and collections. He was an Adjunct Assistant Professor at the College of Insurance in New York teaching Casualty Contracts and American Institute courses.
Peter is a graduate of Hofstra University (BA) and has attended the graduate program at Fairleigh Dickinson University (MBA). He also attained the CPCU designation (1985).
Steve Robson has over 30 years of experience working in the London market, mostly in senior claims roles, and in the course of his career has held various prominent market positions. His particular claims expertise covers reinsurance (treaty and facultative), binding authorities, financial institutions, PI and property claims. Mr. Robson is an elected member of the London Market Association Claims Committee and serves as a board member of the International Association of Claims Practitioners.
Mr. Robson currently serves as Global head of claims for Brit. Mr. Robson is renowned in the Insurance industry for his expertise and experience in London market procedures on inwards and outwards claims and as a claims adjuster, as such he has acted as an Arbitrator in the UK and US and Expert and Fact Witness numerous times also in the UK and US.

Edward R. Quinn, Jr. began his career in 1978 as an examiner for the Drake Insurance Company in Cranford, NJ and thereafter worked as a field adjuster for Reliance Insurance Company/New York City branch. He began E.R. Quinn Co., Inc. a multi-line adjusting firm servicing the metro New York area in 1983 and in 2003 he formed Rockville Risk Management, a TPA, handling programs in 50 states.

Susan F. Wain, retired, was formerly Senior Vice President of Claim Operations for Scottsdale Insurance Company (SIC). She joined the Company on April 1, 1991 as a general liability claim examiner and since that time has served as manager of special casualty, excess/umbrella,and construction defect units, and as Director of the brokerage and professional liability claim departments. Before joining Scottsdale, Ms. Wain worked for Prudential Property and Casualty Insurance Company for 13 years, and Liberty Mutual Insurance Company for three years. She earned her B.A. at SUNY at Oswego and her M.A. in Organizational Management from the University of Phoenix. She holds the Casualty Claim Law Associate designation and is a certified associate for Emergenetics®, a leadership and group development tool.
Ms. Wain is active in the community. She is Past-President of the executive board of a local non-profit fundraising organization and is an active volunteer for the Kenyan Children Foundation, a US-based international non-profit human service organization. Katherine Quirk is a partner in the Insurance and Reinsurance group of Phelps Dunbar. She serves as local, regional and national coverage counsel for both foreign and domestic insurance companies. She counsels clients, resolves coverage disputes and manages litigation involving a myriad of insurance issues under the laws of states in all regions of the United States. Marc Karnell joined Endurance in April 2004 as Vice President Casualty Manager. As Casualty Manager he was responsible for the management of a wide range of casualty exposure including D&O, Misc. E&O and Medical Malpractice, Surety and General Liability, Workers’ Compensation and Property claims.

Tom Joyce has worked in the insurance industry for over twenty-seven years and is currently the Vice President of Claim Operations for the Scottsdale Group (SG).
Prior to joining The Scottsdale Group, Tom worked for The St. Paul Fire and Marine Insurance Company in various technical and leadership roles. Tom earned a Bachelor of Science Degree from Northern Arizona University, and holds a number of professional designations, including an Associate in Surplus Lines Insurance and Associate in Claim Law. Tom is a member of the Professional Liability Underwriting Society (PLUS) and the International Association of Claim Professionals (IACP).
